Personally, I wasn't impressed. The voice-overs are terrible to start. Controlling the spacecraft was a *****, and finding the waypoints was a ***** too. Once on the planet, the game play (from the spaceship) was so-so. Yeah, the water looks cool though. And what the hell was that landing? forward, left, back, right, forward, left, back, right, a b a b start? That was the longest landing i think i've even seen.

1st person combat was rather bland. I didn't really feel like i was there kicking alien *****. The only thought i had was, conserve ammo, and find my tank. Although, the turrets killed me before i found my tank and i quit.

I thought this was going to be something like *ahem* bf1942 and rtcw (or cod(now that its out)) all rolled up into one, but I dont think thats going to happen, at least not single player.

I'll have to agree with #2.

The beginning cutscene with the ships flying over the island immediately made me go "Wow". And that's a bad wow, not a good wow. The voice acting was pretty bad and I couldn't hear much of what was being said. The overall affect was very cheesy, right down to the "hi tech" band of aliens to the buildings that magically pop up in thin air.
*some* of the effects were nice though (like #2, I thought the water was kinda cool)

I liked how you coul customize your keys for each type of vehicle, and the fact that there are so many at your disposal. But I don't know how many times I got so *****ed off just starting the game. Trying to fly that spaceship was the worst thing ever.

Anyway, I'm not all impressed by this. It seems like very mediocre work that is in much need of polishing.

I couldn't even get the darn demo to work. I thought my computer was good enough at
Windows 2000
32.7 GB hdd
512 MB RAM
P4 2.6 ghz
64 MB Geforce 4

Perhaps because it is a laptop. I will try my desktop. mad

Is it just me, or was the Beta demo about a 1000 times better than this? I no longer have any intention of buying this game now... pity.

LOL all the bad comments and it still remains 8.7. I was expecting it to be a 5 or something, i havent gotten a chance to play it so i cant through my comment in

#9... Huh? You really don't need to yell, and I got a warning for yelling on the bf1942 area of filesnet once... Btw, I think the gameplay is fun, but could be better, but the graphics = worthy of my royal drool.. well, my drool isnt royal, but maybe someone else's is that i can borrow.. ugh, disgusting stick out tongue
